Gabriella Martinez is a senior at The University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in psychology with a minor in information systems. As a San Antonio native, Martinez is passionate about giving back to the city, particularly through nonprofit work. Throughout her time as a student, Martinez has participated in several local service initiatives, including the UT San Antonio Citymester Program and the H-E-B Community Innovation Scholars Program. Outside of her nonprofit experience, Martinez has conducted on-campus research with the Mathematical Cognitive Modeling Laboratory and the UT San Antonio Academic Innovation Center. By combining her interests in nonprofit work and academic research, Martinez hopes to pursue a career in science policy and to advocate for community-based participatory research practices.
